A CONVENIENT TRUTH FOR KIDS
(LOS ANGELES) When Al Gore speaks about the changing environment, adults listen. When the lessons from The Little Witch of Wichita are presented, children listen…and learn. This bewitching family musical is a tasteful brew of educational themes such as protecting the environment, caring for endangered species, and respecting one's self and others. The Little Witch of Wichita not only fosters an appreciation for quality theater entertainment, but also is dedicated to the mission of raising the consciousness of youth today.
Written by Beth Martin Brown (book), Sandy Sherman (lyrics), and Kevin Kaufman (music), this one-hour musical has all the excitement of Halloween---witches, cauldrons, and “trick or treat”---as it follows a young girl's journey through an enchanted forest where along the way she encounters three wise characters who teach her these important lessons.
